On December 14 2023, the department of Management and Entrepreneurship, FBAA, ASEM hosted a special event – a Follow-up Workshop dedicated to the improvement of internships and the development of STEAM skills for students of the undergraduate program in Business and Administration.
The event was attended by 3rd year students from the BA program, teaching staff, representatives from the business environment and partners of the Erasmus + Skills4future project, both from the country and from abroad. In the welcome speech, the Rector of ASEM, Mr. university professor, dr. hab. Alexandru STRATAN, emphasized the importance of developing STEAM skills to ensure the success of students in their further careers.
The discussions focused on the organization of internships for students and the identification of the essential skills that need to be developed in order to provide them with a meaningful formative experience. The students’ experiences in the internships were also an essential part of the dialogue. By sharing these experiences, students brought up practical details and concrete situations encountered, also revealing their expectations from the internship.
The event was attended by business partners: BC Moldinconbank S.A., S.R.L. ELECTROMEC ENGINEERING, LiSteRa Group SRL, PurcariWineries Group, Balti Branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, etc. Through the connection between the business environment and higher education we can strengthen the collaboration for the development of students’ skills and the improvement of internships.
This event was part of the Erasmus + EDU-2022-CBHE-STRAND-2 project, “Skills4future – Developing and improving the STEAM skills of students and teachers for curriculum innovation and sustainable development of higher education institutions and local businesses”.
